- What do the digits in a pincode mean?
- The first digit indicates the postal zone (1–8 covering different regions of India). The second digit narrows it to a sub-zone. The third digit is the sorting district. The last three digits identify the specific post office within that district.
- What's the difference between HO, SO, and BO?
- HO (Head Office) is the main post office of a region that handles sorting and distribution. SO (Sub Office)operates under a Head Office and serves a specific area.BO (Branch Office) is the smallest unit, usually in rural areas, that operates under a Sub Office.
